Unhistoric Acts: Some records of Early frends in north-east Yorkshire
written in 1906 by George Baker

The Friends, known as Quakers, had a huge following in the north-east of Yorkshire, possibly because this was a favourite area for George Fox (1624-1691), a founder of the Religious Society of Friends, who visited the Yorkshire coast and neighbourhood many times.

In this book, many names and places are mentioned

The cover picture is from the boo. It is entitled, "The Return from the Wedding Tour, 26th May 1803, In sight of the new home"

The original book was scanned and published on CD by Greenwood @ Yorkshire Ancestors,  2012, and remains in the copyright of the publisher
